4 Year PhD Studentships for commencement Autumn 2018

Closing Date:    Friday 19 January 2018, 2400 hrs GMT - CLOSED

Interview Date:  Wednesday 14 February 2018, Alderley Park, Cheshire

The CRUK Manchester Institute is relocating to Alderley Park in Cheshire until such time as our research facilities are re-established on our former site in Withington, Manchester following the fire in April 2017.  The majority of PhD students registering in 2018 will be located on this new temporary site.  We are looking forward to the new opportunities that relocating to Alderley Park will bring while ensuring that we retain our close links to The Christie NHS Foundation Trust as these are critical to our aims of improving the outcomes for cancer patients through research.

We have seven projects on offer spanning the whole spectrum of cancer research at the CRUK Manchester Institute for commencement September 2018.  Applications are invited from exceptionally high calibre students, graduates or final year undergraduates who have, or are expected to obtain, a first or upper-second class honours degree and who are highly committed to pursuing a PhD in cancer research.

Studentships are fully funded for four years and applications are welcome from UK, EU, and international graduates.  Cancer Research UK sponsorship includes generous stipend, tuition and bench fees for the duration of the studies.

Make your online application here.  You will have the option on your application form to list a maximum of three projects from those available below. Please list in preferential order, 1) being your first project of choice.  It is not compulsory to list three projects, therefore list only those that are of potential interest.
