Congratulations to Alexia Eliades who has been awarded an EMBO Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Alexia is part of the Stem Cell Haematopoiesis Group headed by Valerie Kouskoff and will be carrying out research into the molecular mechanisms of haematopoietic specification. As part of the selection process for the fellowship, she visited the Erasmus University in Rotterdam to present a seminar on “Mechanisms of regulation:from megakaryopoiesis to the origins of haematopoiesis”. Alexia joined the Paterson Institute in September 2011 having completed her PhD in Biochemistry at Boston University.
