About Duncan Smith
Duncan is a highly experienced protein biochemist, liquid chromatographer and proteomics mass spectrometrist. He has twenty eight years experience in proteomics research in both academia and industry.
Duncan studied biochemistry followed by a PhD in the lab of Simon Gaskell where he was active in developing and applying nano liquid chromatography (before it existed) coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (MS) in proteomics in the late 1990s. He is an expert in quantitative mass spectrometry and post translational modification analysis and its application in biomedical research.
