The Logistics department provides a comprehensive and efficient portering service for the Institute.
Responsibilities and services provided:
- Receipting and distribution of parcels
- Liquid nitrogen: delivery, monitoring and refills
- Delivery of dry ice pellets
- Lab gases
- Central stores’ stock and freezer orders (including Life Technologies, Sigma, Promega, New England Biolabs and Qiagen)
- Sample transfers between sites
- Lab waste collections
- Assisting or managing in the movement of equipment/furniture
- Disposal of large redundant furniture/electrical equipment
- Supporting recycling initiatives
