Sudhakar Sahoo

Computational Biology Support Core Facility Manager

Manager of the Computational Biology Support team, training Facility staff and Institute researchers in complex data analysis and interpretation

About Sudhakar Sahoo

Sudhakar leads the CBS team and is a highly qualified computational biologist. He has expertise in algorithm development, computational modelling of biological systems, computational biology and bioinformatics analysis methods including single-cell and spatial multi-omics data analysis and integration, and multiplexed image analysis. These skills have proven invaluable for researchers designing experimental studies and uncovering complexity in cancer datasets.

Sudhakar not only leads the team but also trains new staff in data analysis and interpretation, preparing them to take on lead roles in projects. His training method enables staff members to quickly adapt to new environments and data analysis methods, resulting in the entire team providing seamless support to the researchers, allowing them to progress in their projects without hindrance. He has translated this one-to-one departmental training to an institute-wide scale.
