Logistics

The Logistics department provides a comprehensive and efficient portering service for the Institute.

Responsibilities and services provided:

  • Receipting and distribution of parcels
  • Liquid nitrogen: delivery, monitoring and refills
  • Delivery of dry ice pellets
  • Lab gases
  • Central stores’ stock and freezer orders (including Life Technologies, Sigma, Promega, New England Biolabs and Qiagen)
  • Sample transfers between sites
  • Lab waste collections
  • Assisting or managing in the movement of equipment/furniture
  • Disposal of large redundant furniture/electrical equipment
  • Supporting recycling initiatives
